Fear of the swine flu sweeps across college campuses in Georgia. Illnesses spread quickly in the tight quarters of the dorms, and parents sit at home fretting about their children.
How are Georgia colleges handling the reality of the swine flu without increasing panic? The AJC published an article on Sep. 4 containing that information.
UGA, Emory, and GT have had large outbreaks of the swine flu. Emory sent a letter to students and parents informing them that the flu was on campus but not to worry: the symptoms would more than likely be mild.

When a crisis occurs, public relations professionals manage it. The public relations professionals at these schools have had their hands full. They have successfully maintained a good name for their Universities while truthfully informing everyone of the swine flu epidemic. Good job Georgia colleges' PR people!
