My class had the privileged of hosting the Relay Kickoff, and I have never been so proud of us. It took us a few months of precise planning to get everything just right, and I think we did it. Our CEOs of the event, Lyric, Kara, and Cara, brought the whole shindig together.
The tables were decorated with birthday presents and cupcakes, the walls were adorned with cancer survivor photos, and the plates were full of tasty food, primarily provided by Brooke's connections.

Keri and I made a slide show with quotes and photos from the survivor stories written by our classmates. It was encouraging to share the stories with Relay For Life team captains, so they could see who they were fighting for.
The cupcake ceremony was absolutely beautiful. Everyone joined in to sing happy birthday in honor or memory of a cancer fighter, and then blew out their candles as they filled the room with nearly 100 silent wishes.

It felt so good to be a part of the Kickoff because the importance of Relay For Life was written all over the crowds face. Knowing that my class came together to inspire the team captains, makes me proud to be a part of PR fantasy football.
