A couple of posts ago I talked about the Kotex campaign, which is meant to get girls talking and encourage them to buy Kotex products. This next campaign that has caught my attention is meant to do the opposite. It wants to scare people away. The Georgia Meth Project.
The Georgia Meth Project is target towards teens. The main slogan is "not even once." The ads on TV are intense and hold nothing back. They show teenagers scratched up and bleeding, crying, beating strangers, and prostituting themselves. At the end of each shocking ad the slogan says "Meth, not even once."
The campaign is not just exploding in Georgia, but it is campaigning in 7 other states as well. The idea behind the project is to inform teens of the seriousness effects of using methamphetamine drugs, even just one time. The campaign is not shy but bold and in your face. You can view the ads here.
